This pressure reducing valve are piloted hydraulic valves by controlved by line pressure. The pilot valve had a spring-fixed diaphragm, which is sensitive to down stream pressure. The pilot's spring is preset to a desirable reduced pressure. The pilot valve maintains a constant downstream pressure by opening and closing of the main valve. The pressure is maintained constant regardless of changes in the flow rate.
